About
I am a doctoral student at the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience, Chalmers University of Technology, working in the Applied Quantum Physics Lab. My research focuses on quantum circuit compilation: translating circuits from the higher-level textbook form into programs that can run on actual hardware. An essential task in every computation done on a quantum computer. I am particularly interested in utilizing machine learning for this task.
Before joining Chalmers, I studied physics at Humboldt University of Berlin (B.Sc. & M.Sc.), specialising in quantum optics and quantum computing, with a research stay at Uppsala University through the Erasmus programme.
Beyond my research, I am interested in the societal impact of quantum technologies and in making quantum computing more accessible through open education. In my leisure time, I enjoy the Scandinavian concept friluftslivet (the open-air life), so hiking and camping, and everything else done outdoors. Regarding technology, I strive for a curious mindset, loosely following the maxim: If you can't open it, you don't own it.
